Ten CAIR-Chicago Volunteer Activists were among many that volunteered at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on October 22, 2005.

After a short presentation on the mission and vision of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and on the existing poverty levels in the United States, volunteers were divided into several groups, each with a specific task. CAIR-Chicago volunteers were assigned the task of weighing and packaging cereal.

After putting on gloves, face masks and hairnets, volunteers packaged 8 ounces of cereal and labeled them with ingredients, while others stacked them in boxes. The boxes were secured with tape and set aside to be transported to food pantries around the Chicagoland area.

We would like to thank our Volunteer Activists for their time and dedication. By donating 3-4 hours of their Saturday, they managed to put several plates of food on the tables of those in need.
