CAIR-Chicago Meets with Chicago Police on Sensitivity Training
CAIR-Chicago’s Executive Director Ahmed Rehab and Civil Rights Coordinator Christina Abraham met with Deputy Superintendent Dana Starks and Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) Director Vance Henry to discuss strategies to bridge the gap between the Muslim community and Chicago Police. Initiatives presented were conducting sensitivity training for Chicago Police officers serving in districts with heavy Muslim populations, addressing officers during roll-call, and conducting workshops to the Muslim community on how the Chicago Police can serve the community.
