CAIR-Chicago Attends Hate Crime Court Hearing
CAIR-Chicago’s Legal Advisor Maaria Mozaffar accompanied a client at a court hearing concerning a young man assaulting a Muslim boy.
At the hearing, CAIR-Chicago offered a plea bargain to the State Attorney’s Office which involved the alleged perpetrator performing community service hours at the CAIR-Chicago office, which would include sensitivity training. However this offer was rejected. Therefore the case will now proceed to trial.
The date for the trial is set for December 11th.
