Young Lawyers Pro Bono & Community Service Fair

The Chicago Bar Association and The Chicago Bar Foundation sponsored the third annual, 2006 CBA/CBF Pro Bono Week. The week honored the pro bono efforts of lawyers and educates the public and legal community about the importance of pro bono work in improving the lives of the less fortunate.

The week also educated the legal community on pro bono opportunities available in the Chicago area. The week consisted of events emphasizing the pro bono efforts of attorneys and the impact on their efforts on their clients. Of the many events for the week was the Young Lawyers Section 14th Annual Pro Bono & Community Service Fair. The Pro Bono and Community Service Fair gave attorneys the opportunity to make meaningful connections with public service organizations at Jenner & Block’s offices.

CAIR-Chicago’s Civil Rights Coordinator Christina Abraham hosted a table at the Fair as a pro bono opportunity for attorneys interested in defending civil rights.
