“This reprehensible attack on a house of worship should be condemned by all people of conscience,” said CAIR-Chicago Communications Coordinator Amina Sharif. “We spoke with synagogue officials and are relieved to hear that no one was hurt.”
Sharif expressed the Muslim community’s sympathy and support in the wake of the attack.
CAIR, America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 35 chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
