CAIR-Chicago was recently recognized at the Mosque Foundation’s 13th Ramadan Community banquet in Bridgeview. The annual banquet celebrates the teamwork of individuals, organizations, and public officials who serve the Bridgeview community.
The Mosque Foundation honored CAIR-Chicago for its defense of the civil rights of American Muslims. Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson accepted the Community Recognition Award on behalf of CAIR-Chicago and thanked the Mosque Foundation for its gracious support and partnership.
CAIR-Chicago was recognized for its ongoing work, including its Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium program, Get Out The Vote campaign, and support to members of the Muslim community facing citizenship delay and civil rights abuses.
