ABOUT SILK ROAD RISING
Founded in response to the widespread discrimination and xenophobia sparked by the attacks of September 11, 2001, Silk Road Rising produces live and online theater that tells stories from primarily Asian American and Middle Eastern American perspectives. Wielding art as a tool, we dismantle stereotypes and seek to humanize Silk Road peoples in the sphere of American theater. Our mission is to advance a polycultural worldview, celebrating and embracing the diverse ways in which communities overlap, intersect, and enrich each other.
