The staff and board of CAIR-Chicago would like to invite you to our eighth annual “Taste of Ramadan,” which is set to take place this summer at our centrally located downtown office.
Last year, over 100 community members attended the event and enjoyed food prepared by CAIR-Chicago staff, interns, family and volunteers. Attendees are invited to bring a dish or beverage that represents their heritage or culture.
“Iftar” is an Arabic term that refers to the evening meal that breaks the daylight fast that Muslims observe during Ramadan. The meal is often organized as a community so that Muslims can celebrate the breaking of their fast together.
