Hoda Katebi to Speak at NEIU on Sanctuary and Immigration Policy


On Thursday, February 23rd Communications Coordinator Hoda Katebi will be speaking at Northeastern Illinois University on a panel entitled “What is a Sanctuary? Policies, Practices, and Transformative Possibilities” which will take place at 3:00pm at Bernard J. Brommel Hall, Room BBH-101. The panel aims to explore the meaning of a sanctuary, and what role everyone plays to ensure a safe and supportive environment for undocumented and Muslim students and their families, who may feel threatened by the current political climate of our country.
