Muslim Students Resolve Prayer Accommodation Issue

A local university student had contacted CAIR-Chicago regarding his school's refusal to allocate prayer space for Muslims on campus. CAIR-Chicago advised the student how to address his accommodation issue with the school's administration. The Muslim students on campus subsequently formed a Muslim Students Association on campus, which allowed them to address the Student Affairs Office about obtaining a prayer room. Due to limited availability of rooms, the MSA was unable to receive a room assignment. However, they were offered the usage of conference rooms in the library for prayer needs.

The students are happy with the outcome and grateful to CAIR-Chicago for the advice it offered them. CAIR-Chicago applauds the students' initiative in securing prayer space for Muslims on campus.
