Kevin Vodak to Speak at Muslim Bar Association Lunch Meeting - September 30, 2010

CAIR-Chicago staff attorney Kevin Vodak will speak at the Muslim Bar Association "Lunch & Learn" meeting.  His presentation will focus on the requirements and challenges of proving religious discrimination against Muslims in the workplace.  He will provide an overview of the standards of proof in federal discrimination cases as well as specific examples of proof of facts from cases he has handled at CAIR-Chicago. The MBA’s “Lunch & Learn” is an occasional, brown-bag lunch meeting featuring interesting legal professionals from a wide range of practice settings and with varied practice concentrations.  The meetings are typically BYOL - bring your own lunch - and are held at various venues throughout the downtown Chicago area.  Often times members volunteer their law firms for the MBA “Lunch & Learn” meetings.  By keeping the organizational logistics to a minimum the meetings are easier to organize and free of charge.  The focus of the meeting is to bring legal professionals and law students together to network and to learn without taking time away from work, family and other priorities.
