Ahmed Rehab Keynotes 2010 United MSA Dinner

CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab delivered the keynote speech at the 2010 United Muslim Students Association (MSA) Dinner, an event that unites the four main Naperville-area high school MSAs.   The program, held at Naperville Central High School on December 4th, brought together over eighty students from Waubonsie Valley, Neuqua Valley, Naperville North and Naperville Central. Students worked rigorously over the past month to organize the event, and were delighted to have Ahmed Rehab come speak. Rehab highlighted the significance of the program’s goal, unity, and discussed its necessity in three different areas: unity in pursuing your personal calling before joining all others, unity as an American Muslim today and unity through our MSA.

Rehab told students that in order to ensure a successful future as Muslim Americans they must first strengthen the MSAs and bridge the gap between Islam and America - through unity, hard work and challenging themselves.

“Being Muslim and being American does not conflict with one another and is what needs to be taught to non-Muslims today as well,” said Rehab.

“That is exactly the purpose of the event,” said student organizers, “to start uniting and to work together for a common goal.”
