ABC 7: Communications Coordinator Aymen Abdel Halim comments on Hizb ut-Tahrir

A banquet hall in Rolling Meadows Ill., canceled a conference set by Hizb ut-Tahrir this coming weekend due to community pressure.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international Muslim group that advocates for the unification of Muslim countries under Islamic law and for a Islamic caliph to lead the caliphate.

Although members of Congress including representatives Joe Walsh (R) and Michelle Bachman (R) have openly labeled the group a terrorist organization, law enforcement and government agencies have not.
