Five CAIR-Chicago staffers are participating in the new Chicago municipal identity card pilot program. The card will provide Chicagoans with a one-stop shop for city identification--including library loans and Ventra fares.

The CityKey allows individuals who otherwise would not have government-issued identification to reap the benefits of public services, institutions, and structures.

The program is planned to go live in March. In order to securely acquire a card, one must bring proof of residence to the Chicago City Clerk's Office.
