OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
CAIR-Chicago has an immediate opening for the part-time position of Operations Coordinator. This position requires general knowledge of IT procedures and experience in office administration.
The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for:
Overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Operations Department including managing a team of interns and volunteers and maintaining internal administrative policies
Manage donor databases, bank accounts, tax accounts, financial reporting, and other accounting data and records to support the financial health of the organization
Maintaining company policies to ensure office productivity and security
Maintain and repair office computers and equipment as needed
Manage vendor relations, ordering and billing
Manage operational infrastructure of seminal projects such as Ramadan Fundraising and Annual Banquet
Qualifications:
Background in accounting and/or related field
Proficiency in using relevant technology including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access)
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Friendly, outgoing, and self-directed
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
The ideal candidate will have access to a car and a valid driver’s license

YOUTH COORDINATOR
The Youth Coordinator is a part-time position that will work closely with the Outreach Coordinator to build and maintain the Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) program.

Position Tasks Include:
Plan and administer two symposiums annually
Facilitate post-symposium student project development
Secure funding through grants and donations
Expand program to reach more students across the greater Chicago region

Experienced in working with youth, specifically high school students
Experienced in event, preferably conference, planning
Organized and able to multi-task
Able to follow through the various on-going and newly assigned tasks and work well under pressure
Skilled in oral and written communications
Friendly, outgoing, and possessing leadership skills
GRANT COORDINATOR
The Grant Coordinator is a part-time position that will work with closely with the Outreach Coordinator and Executive Administration to successfully acquire government, organizational and foundation grants suitable for CAIR-Illinois.

Position Tasks Include:
Prepare grant applications and proposal presentations
Maintain sound knowledge and understanding CAIR-Illinois and its individual department projects
Research grant-making organizations and acquire sound knowledge and understanding of the funding organization’s mission, programs, target population and strategic vision
Compile, write and edit all grant applications; Conduct follow up communications with grant making organization during their review process in order to supply additional supportive material
Prepare and submit all quarterly and/or annual reports, as required by each grant-making organization for each funded program
Create marketing and communication tools for CAIR-Illinois, including direct mail pieces, newsletter and event scripting. Manage the editing process with graphic designer and the printing and mailing process with selected vendors
Qualifications:
Organized, able to multi-task and follow through various on-going and newly assigned tasks
Attentive to detail and skilled in oral and written communication as well as problem-solving
