           Relations (CAIR-Chicago)

When: Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Where: Krasa Presentation Room - Benedictine University
               Lisle, IL 60532

Details:

On Sept 12, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI quoted a 14th century Byzantine emperor as saying: "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and you will find things that are evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." Muslims all over the world took offense by these words. Emotions flared, civil discord grew and in some instances, violence ensued. Confusion and unanswered questions are now prevalent on both sides. In the midst of all the misunderstanding, one certainty remains... dialogue is eminent. Let's talk!
Directions:
Benedictine University is at the intersection of Maple Avenue (55th Street east-west) and College Road, which is called Yackley Avenue north of Maple and Wehrli south of 75th Street. The campus is about two miles west of I-355 and one mile south of IL Rt. 34 (Ogden Avenue).

From Chicago: Take I-290 to I-88. Go west on the I-88 toll way to I-355 south toll way. Go to the Maple Avenue exit and travel west (right turn) to the University. Left on College/Yackley Rd. Right at first light. Left at immediate T-section. Go straight, pass first stop sign, the road will curve and wind a little. Turn left into parking lot at the second stop sign. That is the Krasa Center.

From the North or South Suburbs: Take the I-355 North-South toll way to the Maple Avenue exit. Take the Maple Avenue exit west to the University. Left on College/Yackley Rd. Right at first light. Left at immediate T-section. Go straight, pass first stop sign, the road will curve and wind a little. Turn left into parking lot at the second stop sign. That is the Krasa Center.

By Train: The Burlington Northern stops in downtown Lisle. Cab Service is available for the two-mile trip to campus.

Parking: The Krasa Center is the newer, red brick building located northwest of Benedictine hall. The entrance to Krasa is off of Maple Avenue about 1/4 mile west of College Road. Parking is directly in front of the building and is free for all visitors.
