CAIR-Chicago Represents Muslim Man in FBI Interview
February 24, 2006

CAIR-Chicago Legal Advisor Maaria Mozaffar represented a Muslim man who had been contacted by the FBI for a voluntary interview. CAIR-Chicago’s general advice to anyone contacted by the FBI for an interview is to have attorney representation for the interview, even if it means rescheduling the interview for a later date in order to obtain representation. CAIR-Chicago plans on conducting “know your rights” sessions in the near future for community members regarding their rights when contacted by law enforcement agencies.
