CAIR-Chicago Attends Department of Homeland
Security Community Roundtable

August 30, 2007

CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Coordinator Christina Abraham and PILI Fellow Tawfiq Ali attended a roundtable hosted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The roundtable allows leaders of the Muslim, Sikh, and Middle Eastern communities to address issues facing their communities with the various departments under DHS. Among the issues covered were new TSA travel policies and how to file complaints with the DHS Department of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (CRCL). The group also discussed ways to make the roundtable more effective.
