CAIR-Chicago Attends Chicago Tribune Community Luncheon
June 6, 2006

CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab and Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed attended the Chicago Tribune Community Luncheon on Tuesday, June 6 at the Chicago Tribune building. The luncheon was held to connect community leaders working on immigration reform with the Tribune’s writers and editors. Attendees networked with one another to find new perspectives on community issues. Community organizers were also given the opportunity to utilize the media proactively and reporters were introduced to the people that would be able to connect them with the community, on the ground. Present at the event were representatives from the Asian American Caucus, Korean American Resource & Cultural Center, Korean American Community Services, Korean American Women in Need, Latinos Progresando, Latinos United, Institute for Latino Studies, Pan African Association, and Polish American Association.
