“There are seven million Muslims in America who are all peaceful, patriotic and support our troops so along with being deeply saddened and horrified by this event we are also concerned that people might call into question our patriotism and loyalty to this country,” said Amina Sharif, Council On American Islamic Relations.

This past weekend over 20 volunteers joined CAIR-Chicago and the Council of the Advancement for Muslim Professionals (CAMP) at the Downtown Islamic Center to donate blood. The donations save patients suffering from health traumas such as major blood loss caused by car accidents. Each blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives.

CAIR-Chicago is teaming up with the Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals (CAMP) and the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago (ARCGC) for a charitable blood drive.

On Thursday, October 16, CAIR-Chicago, in cooperation with other organizations, will co-sponsor its fifth biannual blood drive at the Downtown Islamic Center in Chicago, Ill.

CAIR-Chicago recently co-sponsored its fourth blood drive alongside the Compassionate Network and the Inner City Muslim Network.

On Thursday, July 17, CAIR-Chicago, in cooperation with other organizations, will co-sponsor its fourth biannual blood drive at the Downtown Islamic Center in Chicago, Ill.
