Monday, November 13th marked a historic day in the life of Chicago’s Muslim community thanks to a display of vision and generosity by Bridgeview’s Muslim leadership.

This year’s election had some of the hottest races, with campaigns spending money in record amounts and state wide campaigns to mobilize constituents to the polls.

The Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations announced today that as a part of election activities, to encourage staff, interns, volunteers and community members to vote, the office will be closed on Election Day. It will also pull down its highly-visited website and replace it with a single splash page with the text, “We Vote.”
