This past Sunday, July 27th, about 50 high school students from across Illinois attended the third Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) sponsored by CAIR-Chicago
On Sunday, July 27th, the Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago) will sponsor MYLS Summer 2008 where 100 Muslim high school students will gather for a weekend leadership symposium. The program is designed to inspire Muslim youth to leverage their faith values towards constructive citizenship that benefits community and country.
On Saturday, July 26, the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), in cooperation with New Islamic Directions, will co-sponsor a workshop for journalists, titled “Presumption of Guilt: Media Treatment and Coverage of Muslims in America,” at the UNITY ’08 convention.
