Media Advisory: CAIR-Chicago to Join Vigils for Peace in Gaza & MLK’s Legacy

The Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is co-sponsoring two vigils today that will celebrate Martin Luther King’s fight for justice and human rights, and in the spirit of his work, call for peace in Palestine.

CAIR-Chicago to speak on “Muslims and Civil Rights, Continuing MLK’s Legacy Today”

The event will discuss how Muslims in America contribute to continuing the civil rights legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and how the movement is relevant among Muslims in America. It will also discuss how the movement is consistent with the teachings of Islam.
