Action Alert: #Justice4Hadi

We cordially invite you to join us today at 5:30 PM for a peaceful gathering of social justice organizations. This includes Arab American Action Network, Chicago Alliance, Operation PUSH, USPCN, SS4P, FDLA, and our other esteemed partners. The purpose of this gathering is to protest against the Oak Lawn Police & Fire Commission and demand justice for Hadi Abuatelah and Murod Kurdi.

The Oak Lawn Police Department, located at 9446 Raymond Ave., Oak Lawn, Illinois, has been accused of negligence, racism, and other grave offenses. This protest is a response to the beating of Hadi Abuatelah last year, which highlighted the department's misconduct. Moreover, recently, a Palestinian-American man was tragically killed in front of his own home by a driver who had consumed two drinks at a local bar. Shockingly, the Oak Lawn Police Department allowed the driver to leave the scene of the crime without taking appropriate action.

We have reached a point where enough is enough. It is time to stand up against injustice, raise our voices, and demand accountability from the Oak Lawn Police & Fire Commission. By joining this protest, you will contribute to the call for justice for Hadi Abuatelah, Murod, and all those who have suffered due to the misconduct of the police department.

Together, we can make a difference and work towards a more just and equitable society. See you at 5:30 PM to show our solidarity and demand justice.

We look forward to your participation.
