Join Coalition to Protest Boeing ‘Torture Flights’

Join the newly launched Coalition to Ground Torture Flights at a protest at the annual Boeing shareholder’s meeting to demand that the company respond to allegations that it is an active participant in so-called “torture flights.” Feature 227This is the Coalition’s first public action as a part of a campaign to educate Boeing shareholders and the general public about reports that Boeing is profiting from torture and to demand accountability for Boeing’s actions. Boeing is headquartered in Chicago.

COALITION MEMBERS: Council on American-Islamic Relations–Chicago; Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights (CCDBR); 8th Day Center for Justice; Kick Boeing to the Curb; American Friends and Service Committee – Chicago; Wellington Avenue Church; Voices for Creative Non-Violence; St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Worker House and other civic groups.

An ongoing ACLU lawsuit charges that Jeppesen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing, sold direct flight services to the CIA that enabled the delivery of captives in U.S. custody to secret overseas locations where "friendly governments" as well as CIA operatives carried out and arranged their torture.
