Civil Rights Director Christina Abraham attended an appointment with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding the denial of a Muslim man’s attempted application for citizenship. CAIR-Chicago was told that his appeal is in the final stages of adjudication. He had originally been denied citizenship November of 2007 and CAIR-Chicago followed up by filling an appeal on his behalf December of 2007.
