Christina Abraham Speaks at Midwest Regional Conference of Committee to Stop FBI Repression

Civil Rights Director Christina Abraham spoke at the Midwest Regional Conference of the Committee to Stop FBI Repression on February 12. The conference discussed different legislatures linked with the Anti-War movement in America. Different ethnic group leaders were present at the conference, which was held in front of an audience of 100 people.

Abraham spoke to the audience about the different experiences encountered with the FBI regarding Anti-War movements and other situations. She spoke about alleged FBI informants being sent to different mosques and what the FBI has been doing in Muslim communities. Abraham also mentioned a fear of donating to Muslim organizations and what FBI repression has done to the communities.

The conference also featured a civil rights activist for the African American community, an environmental activist as well as a representative from the Puerto Rican Independence Movement.
