Action Alert: Still Time to Register to Vote for the Mayoral Elections!

Chicago residents! There’s still time to register for the upcoming mayoral elections on February 24th! Eligible citizens may still register during the “Grace Period Registration.”

When registering during this “Grace Period” you will need to cast a ballot the same day. Voters who need to update their information can do so on site.

In order to register, will need two forms of identification. After voting, your ballot will be set aside for a two-week period after Election Day while officials verify your eligibility and registration (a provisional ballot).

You may register and cast a ballot during this Grace Period at the Chicago Board of Elections (69 W. Washington St., 6th Floor, Chicago, 60602), or during listed hours at a location specified by the election authority. If no ballots are available at the office of the election authority, you can vote by mail.

Important Dates:

Grace Period Registration: January 28 through February 21 During this period you MAY register at any location—you will register and vote on the same day.

Early voting is February 9 through February 21 Chicago voters may Early Vote at ANY Early Voting location.

ELECTION DAY is February 24 You may NOT register to vote on election day You may only vote in the precinct in which you are registered

Again, during the Grace Period, you must register in person—and then immediately vote during that same visit.
