CAIR-Chicago was invited to attend the DuPage County Social Studies Conference at Wheaton-Warrensville South High School.  Gerald Hankerson, Outreach Coordinator, represented the organization at this annual event. Hankerson shared prospective ideas with educators for connecting with their students through interactive workshops and presentations about Muslim Americans. He also featured internship and volunteer opportunities, and networked with other nonprofits, initiatives and university programs.

The event drew over 600 middle school and high school teachers, department chairs, and administrators from all over the county.
