CAIR-Chicago to Host French Scholar

Continuing its partnership with the International Visitors Center of Chicago, CAIR-Chicago will host a scholar from France on April 29, 2008. The visit is co-sponsored by the Meridian International Center, a Washington D.C. based non-profit institution that promotes international understanding through the exchange of people, ideas and the arts.
The visiting scholar, Dr. Leyli Beatrice Anvar Chenderoff, is a lecturer in the Department of Iranian Studies at the Institute of Eastern Languages and Civilizations in Paris. Dr. Chenderoff also works in collaboration with the parliamentary TV channel Public Senate for questions related to Iran.
Joining CAIR-Chicago is Dr. Mustapha Kamal, Assistant Clinical Professor in Arabic for the Department of Classics and Mediterranean Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research and publications specialize in Arab intellectual history, classical and modern Arabic literature, and literary history of medieval Iberia.
