CAIR-Chicago Attends Illinois Coalition Civil Liberties Meeting

CAIR-Chicago Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed attended the Illinois Coalition Civil Liberties at the Downtown Islamic Center on Thursday, June 8. The coalition met to discuss the potential issues for the coalition to focus on over the summer. Issues on the table include police accountability and immigration reform. A brief presentation on the current status on both state and local police accountability projects and pending legislation was given by a representative of the ACLU.
