Ahmed Rehab to give presentation on Egypt at AIC, July 15

On July 15, CAIR-Chicago's Executive Director, Ahmed Rehab, will present a lecture entitled, "Egypt at a Crossroads: The Making of the Second Republic." Rehab recently returned from Egypt after witnessing the first democratic presidential election in the country's history. This was his fourth trip to Egypt since the revolution began in the winter of 2011.

Rehab is also currently working on a feature-length documentary entitled "Beyond Tahrir" which will illustrate the monumental events that have taken place since mass protests began early last year.

In his presentation, Rehab will explain the changes Egypt has been going through since Mubarak left office and how the old regime, the military, the Islamists, the youth, the media, the public, and the US all influenced the elections.

Don't miss this event!
