Participate in AAAN's survey of racial profiling within the Chicago Muslim community

Dear Arab & Muslim community members of Chicagoland, The Arab American Action Network (AAAN) is a grassroots non-for profit organization that aims to strengthen the Arab community in the Chicagoland area. AAAN strives for community organizing, education, advocacy, social services, leadership development and cultural outreach programs.

AAAN has designed the following survey, with the help of their partner organizations in Queens, NY, Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), to gather information about Muslims’ experiences with racial profiling on all levels – personal, professional, and other situational experiences. The survey is intended for Muslims of all ages. It will be strictly anonymous.

Please take 10-15 minutes of your time to complete this survey, and share with others.

Survey findings will be used to help AAAN further study the prevalence of racial profiling existent within our community.

The study will in no way be used to exploit, harm, or misrepresent those who participate. The AAAN is solely responsible for the design, distribution, and evaluation of the survey to the extent of its use by AAAN staff and consultants. The AAAN is not legally responsible for any misuse of the survey by those who do not represent the AAAN or this research project. This data may be used for internal or external reports by AAAN in the future.

Questions or concerns regarding the survey can be directed to Muhammad Sankari, AAAN Youth Organizer, cppr@aaan.org.
