TODAY: ICIRR to host an interfaith prayer vigil to demand immigration bill

This Friday, March 22nd, 2013, join the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights at their prayer vigil and civil disobedience to demand an immigration bill. Staff Attorney Rabya Khan will be representing CAIR-Chicago at the event. Congress' inability to formulate an effective immigration bill has had various negative consequences; families continue to be torn apart by daily deportations that number in the thousands. Join ICIRR and representatives from organizations like the United African Organization, Asian American Institute and the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago in demanding legislation that keeps families together.
