CAIR-Chicago co-sponsors event on colonialism in Puerto Rico and Palestine on May 13th

On Monday, May 13th, CAIR-Chicago is co-sponsoring an event aimed at highlighting the similarities between the experiences and struggles of Puerto Ricans and Palestinians in their movements for independence. The event is set to take place at the John Marshall Law School at 4pm. The presenting panel includes Sahar Francis of the Ramallah-based Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, attorney and Palestinian rights activist Rima Kapitan, Jose E. Lopez of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center and attorney Jan Susler from the People's Law Office.
