CAIR-Chicago hosts iftar dinner in solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike

CAIR-Chicago and the National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms (NCPCF) invite you to attend an iftar dinner in solidarity with prisoners on hunger strike in Pelican Bay, Guantanamo Bay, and Palestine on Monday, July 29, 2013. The iftar dinner is free and open to all. The event starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by Maghrib prayer at 8:12 p.m. and dinner at 8:30 p.m.

The event will also support the NCPCF's National Ramadan Letter Writing Campaign with the National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms. Attendees of the event will be invited to write a personal letter of support, prayers and good tidings for Muslim inmates, which will be mailed in time for Eid ul' Fitr.

CAIR-Chicago and NCPCF have also united on the prison project, an ongoing initiative at CAIR-Chicago which aims to give incarcerated Muslims the supplies they need to worship.

We look forward to seeing you at the iftar dinner Monday evening!
