CAIR-Chicago visits Marquette University to present on Muslims in America

On December 4, 2013 CAIR-Chicago Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson and Senior Communications Coordinator Agnieszka Karoluk visited a class at Marquette University and gave a presentation on Islamophobia and perceptions of Muslims in America. The event was hosted by Marquette Muslim Student Association and the office of International Studies.

Hankerson and Karoluk presented on demographics of Muslims in America including statistics on education, employment and political views. They also showed CAIR-Chicago's documentary on Islamophobia which featured interviews with executive director Ahmed Rehab.

The lectures were followed by a lively discussion between Hankerson, Karoluk, host professor of sociology Dr. Louise Cainkar, and the student attendees.
