Goodbye & Hello

CAIR-Chicago is sad to be losing our veteran Staff Attorney Rabya Khan, but excited to introduce our new Trial Attorney Phil Robertson!"Rabya's dedication to the cause of civil rights has truly been unmatched. She joined us as a volunteer attorney working full-time before she formally came on as staff attorney. She has excelled in outreach work as she has in the legal work. Something tells me she'll remain involved with CAIR-Chicago in some capacity," said CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab.

Goodbye Rabya!

Rabya Khan has been the Staff Attorney at CAIR-Chicago. Rabya received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College at the University of Chicago, and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul College of Law. Rabya is a former volunteer attorney with CAIR-Chicago, and previously worked in a variety of areas including family law, domestic violence, and in house corporate counsel. In her position, Rabya focused on asylum and immigration matters, employment discrimination, national security and civil liberties issues, hate crimes, and know your rights community education. Rabya also worked on policy and advocacy issues related to immigrant rights, constitutional rights, and government surveillance. Rabya’s favorite movie is still Ghostbusters. Rabya is grateful for having the opportunity to work on promoting social justice and protecting civil rights. She will be truly missed at the CAIR-Chicago offices!
