Panic Intersecting: Mosques, Zoning, and Islamophobia

CAIR-Chicago's Phil Robertson is one of three panelists serving on an upcoming panel at Silk Road Rising on January 19th at 7:00pm titled, "Panic Intersecting: Mosques, Zoning, and Islamophobia." This panel precedes Silk Road Rising’s live stage production of "Mosque Alert," which will run from March 24th thru May 1st. The 90-minute panel will be held at Silk Road Rising, 77 W Washington St, Lower Level.

The purpose of the panel is to provide both factual information about how the panelists have observed zoning regulations being applied to mosque applicants; and their thoughts about zoning / public policy as it relates to the growing need for building Muslim institutions including mosques. Jamil Khoury, Silk Road Rising's artistic director and the creator of the play, "Mosque Alert," will moderate.
