Press Release: CAIR Condemns Attack on Shia Procession in Pakistan

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/9/06) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today condemned an attack on a Shia Muslim procession in Pakistan that killed at least 27 people. SEE: Suicide Bomber Hits Shiite Procession

In a statement, CAIR said: "We condemn this brutal attack in the strongest terms possible and call for the swift apprehension and prosecution of the perpetrators. We also offer sincere condolences to the loved ones of all those who were killed or injured in the attack."
