CAIR-Chicago Holds Immigration Reform Workshop at the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines
CAIR-Chicago Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed conducted an informational workshop on immigration reform at the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines on Friday, April 14, 2006. The session was intended to educate the community about current immigration reform in Congress highlighted the proposed changes, problematic provisions of the current legislation that is on the Senate floor, as well as realistic changes that need to occur on the bill. The audience was encouraged to ask questions and discuss the issue further. The immigration reform workshop will be repeated on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview.
