Executive Director to Speak on 'Demystifying the Myth: Misconceptions in Islam' at Benedictine University

What: Demystifying the Myth

Topic: Misconceptions in Islam From creation to evolution; holy war to terrorism, women to oppression; Islam is perhaps the most widely misunderstood faith. The modern age has spotlighted Muslims and their beliefs, ironically creating more inaccurate illustrations of Islam rather than shedding light upon one of the world's largest religions. Amidst a scorching political arena arise insults, criticisms, and accusations towards Islam-inevitably feeding the flames of ignorance. The essence of the Muslim faith is often times lost in a fog of myths. This session aims to uncover the mysteries of Islam. Join us as we answer your questions and eradicate these misconceptions in the hope of building the connecting bridges that lead towards the betterment of humanity.
