Why: Dar-us-Sunnah purchached an existing church property in the city of Evanston, Illinois. The location is near downtown Evanston and this is the first of its kind to serve the Muslims living in Chicago’s North Shore Community as well as Muslim students attending at Northwestern University . So far, our plan has received positive response from the city officials and the local community. We have made a commitment to the local residents and the city officials that in the true spirit of Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), Dar-us-Sunnah will focus on providing local community and social services. As part of its multi-faced outreach program, it will also act as an anchor for Bangladeshi Muslims living in the Greater Chicago area and provide an opportunity for them to serve and be guided in the path of Allah.
The building has a floor area of approximately 15,000 sq. ft. and is situated in a beautiful quaint surrounding. The building is paid in full and we need another $1,000,000 for renovation in order to occupy the facility.
