Join CAIR-Chicago to Rally for Immigration Reform

Rigoberto Padilla, a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and youth volunteer at Errie House, Radio Arte, and Casa Aztlan, is scheduled to be deported in less than two weeks.  He came to the U.S. at age 6, and has lived in Chicago most of his 21 years.  During this time, Padilla has been deeply involved in the community, volunteering, studying, working and in general making Chicago a better place. Padilla is scheduled to be deported on December 16th.  His plight illustrates what is wrong with current immigration laws.

On November 18th, a resolution in defense of Padilla and other immigrant students passed in Chicago's City Council by a vote of 49-1.  Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-4), Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-9,) Congressman Danny Davis (IL-7) and Congressman Bobby Rush (IL-1),  Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rainbow PUSH supporting are also on record in support of Padilla.

Please join us in saying, "No to Deportations, Yes to Immigration Reform!"
