CHICAGO MUSLIM LEADERS TO RESPOND TO KING HEARINGS TODAY AT 3 PM (Chicago - 3/10/2011) - Chicago Muslim Leaders will be holding a press conference today at 3:00PM to react to today’s congressional hearings on Muslim "radicalization" led Rep. Peter King (R-NY).

Speakers from CAIR-Chicago and CIOGC will asses the testimonies shared at today's hearings and offer opinions on the nature of the hearings.

“Rep. Peter King seems incapable of differentiating between individuals and a community, between the underground and the mainstream. The hearings seem to be little more than political theatre on King’s part. We are pleased to see many of the witnesses question King’s antics and support the Muslim community’s efforts against extremism,” said CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab.
