CAMP Power Hour hosts Nura Maznavi at CAIR-Chicago

On Thursday, November 8, 2012 CAIR-Chicago hosted the November “Power Hour” event for the Chicago chapter of the Council of American Muslim Professionals (CAMP). The Power Hour topic was on how to launch a creative project, while juggling other obligations, and featured author and attorney Nura Maznavi. Ms. Maznavi co-edited a collection of stories by American Muslim women on their tales of love, entitled “Love InshAllah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women.” She shared her experience of working on the book from the beginning of the idea and conception phase through publication and shared her insights on the creative process.

A lively question and answer session followed with participants seeking advice on writing, working with a partner, making connections in the entertainment industry, handling criticism, and how to balance family responsibilities.
