New Staff

Ambreen Zuberi - Communications Coordinator

Ambreen Zuberi is a Communications Coordinator at CAIR-Chicago. Ambreen obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design with honors from the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. She also earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing & Management from the University of Illinois-Chicago. She has significant experience in both the commercial and residential design sectors. Prior to her career in the interior design industry, Ambreen worked within the marketing field where she consulted with private companies and organizations developing graphic design, increasing website presence, and building brand awareness. She plans to further her education by obtaining a Masters degree majoring in Islamic Studies.

Ambreen has an energetic personality and is excited to join CAIR-Chicago’s Communication department to ensure accurate portrayal of American-Muslims through marketing initiatives and media relations. With her strong background in design and marketing combined with her passion for Islam, Ambreen has cultivated a strong foundation for interpersonal dialogue. Her passion for representing the rights of the underserved and addressing issues such as social inequality and Islamophobia has helped her realize the critical need for collaborative dialogue amongst the interfaith community and across socioeconomic lines. Originally born in Saudi Arabia, she grew up in Chicago and has strong ties to the diverse community here. Ambreen is also a member with The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and ASID-American Society of Interior Designers. She routinely volunteers her time for community outreach programs, Islamic Relief, Chicago Food Depository and for children in need. Ambreen can be reached at azuberi@cair.com.
