CAIR-Chicago hosts students from UK-US Youth Dialogue

On Friday, July 18, CAIR-Chicago hosted the students from the Windsor Fellowship's UK-US Youth Dialogue Programme London, United Kingdom in a Interfaith Cooperation Workshop with Hind Makki, a trainer in interfaith dialogue. The group explored the themes of diversity, immigration, interfaith dialogue, and community engagement. The student group also learned about civil rights issues through watching the video clips No Bigotry and Faith and Ramadan.

Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson gave a brief presentation about CAIR-Chicago’s mission along with Makki.  The students engaged in group breakout sessions where they addressed personal issues in relation with the world at large as well as a session on the individual experiences of students on places where they felt they were in an accepting community.
