CAIR-Chicago Governmental Relations Coordinator Attends ICIRR Membership Meeting

CAIR-Chicago Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed attended a membership meeting for the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at St. Francis Church. The meeting was held to plan for the upcoming political year and revise key immigration strategies. After the success of the New Americans Democracy Project (NADP), coalition members have renewed hope for an immigration policy that will enable millions of undocumented individuals living in the United States to work toward citizenship.

In addition, the state agenda was discussed as well the issue of driver’s certificates.
