CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Coordinator Speaks on Panel at Columbia College

CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Coordinator Christina Abraham spoke on a panel at Columbia College in Chicago, addressing the students of a course entitled “Human Rights: History, Ideology and Spin. The panel featured Robert Schultz from Amnesty International who discussed police brutality among the LGBT community, and Lisa Koop from the National Immigrant Justice Center discussing asylum laws for immigrants. Abraham spoke about how fear has been used to implement a policy of discrimination against Muslims in America, and how this policy has been used to propel an agenda in the Middle East that has little to do with combating terrorism. copyright © 2007, cairchicago.org
